Description
One attempt is allowed per item, ever. It either doubles the item's uses per day (or halves its recharge time) OR doubles the duration of its effect. The chance of failure by item type (Table 22), given as frequency%/duration%: Potion --/75; Ring 40/35; Rod 40/20; Staff 10/35; Wand 15/10; Miscellaneous 50/35. A failure ruins the item forever.
